Boss 01 • hands-on notes
KIRA, The Exile: build your first clean loop
KIRA is the first named Dry Canyons boss in the Demo route. Treat the fight as a rhythm tutorial: watch the scythe, punish with short strings, and use the opening to learn how Dinoblade handles parry pressure and QTE moments.
Hands-on notes:KIRA appears in Dry Canyons Part 1 and uses a crooked scythe.
Release-day check:Exact damage values and full-release tuning are not published here.

Moves to learn

- Reaper's Slash: a basic scythe cut that teaches the first punish rhythm.
- Rushing Blow: a forward pressure move; avoid panic-rolling into follow-up range.
- Boomerang Strike: watch the returning angle before assuming the move is over.
- Double Trim: two-hit pressure; do not spend the full stamina bar after blocking the first hit.
- Reaper's Waltz: longer sequence pressure; observe once before committing to a long punish.
A low-risk plan
- Open with a fully loaded Charge Attack if you can safely create the space.
- Expect KIRA to block or parry greedy follow-ups; keep your punish short.
- Roll away when the scythe rhythm becomes unclear instead of forcing a perfect answer.
- Treat the QTE as part of the fight, not as a victory lap.
- After the fight, pick up the Red Soul and use the waterfall route to unlock the first Soul Art progress.
Reward and next step
KIRA unlocks the Summoning Skill route in the Demo notes: press 4 to call a defeated boss for a powerful charge attack. The recorded passive reward is +10% damage, plus large EXP and 1 Boss SP.
