Ghost Summons: defeated bosses that fight beside you
After defeating certain bosses, you can unlock them as Ghost Summons that attack alongside you and grant a passive perk. The Necromancer achievement tracks the full set. The Alpha Roar transformation replaces your standard summon with a stronger Alpha call once maxed. Exact cooldowns, durations and numeric scaling still need in-game capture before this site publishes them as fixed tables.

How Ghost Summons work

- After defeating certain bosses, a Red Soul pickup unlocks the Summoning Skill.
- Press 4 in combat to call a defeated boss as a Ghost Summon. It performs a powerful charge-style attack and then departs.
- Each summon also grants a passive perk that stays active outside of the summon attack itself.
- The summon roster is not one-to-one with every boss — only specific bosses become Ghost Summons. The full list is still being verified from gameplay capture.
- The Necromancer achievement confirms a complete set exists. The 8.0% unlock rate on July 24 suggests most players have not yet collected all summons.
Confirmed summons and passives
The following summons are confirmed by hands-on notes or corroborated by multiple independent player reports. Entries marked as player-reported need direct in-game capture before they can be treated as definitive.
KIRA, The Exile
First confirmed summon. Passive: +10% damage. Unlocked after the Dry Canyons Part 1 Red Soul. Also the first Summoning Skill tutorial.
KIRA guideAXE
Second confirmed summon. Passive: improves stamina regeneration speed. Unlocked after the Dry Canyons Part 2 Red Soul.
AXE guideReaper & Shade
Confirmed summonable by player summon-mechanics threads. Late-game dual-boss summon; exact passive still needs capture.
Achievement sourceHaku
Named by players as a freezing summon useful for stun windows. Corroborated by multiple reports; exact unlock location and passive need structured capture.
Boss indexBosses confirmed as non-summon targets
Not every defeated boss becomes a Ghost Summon. The hands-on notes explicitly record that KASEI rewards 3 Boss SP but no summon. This pattern suggests some bosses are progression gates or SP sources only, not summon additions. Until a full capture pass is complete, treat the summon roster as a growing list rather than a complete table.
KASEI reward
3 Boss SP and large EXP, but no recorded summon.

Soul ArtsAlpha Roar: the inner beast
The Alpha Roar ability is described by players as a transformation power. Fully maxing it and using it once earns the FEED THE BEAST achievement ("Become the Dark Spinosaurus Beast from within"). When maxed, Alpha Roar replaces your standard Ghost Summon call with a stronger version that summons a random story Alpha — including Mokusei the Titan, who deals massive damage. The exact unlock conditions, level effects and random pool are still being verified.
- FEED THE BEAST is a hidden achievement — the condition text itself hints at the transformation.
- The upgrade path requires maxing Alpha Roar through Soul Arts levels.
- Once transformed, the summon call becomes a random Alpha call instead of a fixed boss summon.
- Mokusei the Titan is corroborated as one possible random Alpha in the transformed state.
- Exact level-by-level effects and the full random Alpha pool need in-game capture before being published as fixed data.
Summon strategy in practice
- Summons are single-use per encounter in most reports — treat them as burst tools, not sustained companions.
- Use KIRA's +10% damage passive as your default carry; switch to AXE's stamina regen when your build is stamina-starved.
- Haku's freezing effect is more valuable against bosses with long recoverable strings than against fast, low-commitment attackers.
- Before Boss Rush, check which summons are available and plan around the limited between-fight recovery — a well-timed summon can replace a heal.
- Do not count on a specific random Alpha from the maxed Alpha Roar unless you have verified the pool in your current build.
