Official update log

Every change needs a source and a date

This tracker summarizes official Steam announcements and developer channels, and keeps player reports separate. It does not assign version numbers the developer did not publish.

Official:Steam now lists Dinoblade as released.
Release-day check:Launch-build mechanics still need current-version testing before old Demo notes are rewritten.

July 30, 2026 — Boss-fight recovery and late-game tuning

The official July 30 note adds a travel option during boss fights for players who get stuck, cleans up the final boss hitbox, fixes a rocket-launch bug, reduces Alpha Roar lag, and increases Instinct Counter damage scaling for Strength builds. It is a concrete late-game maintenance note, not a universal balance table.

July 29, 2026 — DLSS display toggle

The official July 29 note is short and specific: DLSS display is now turned on in the option menu. That is useful setup context, but it does not imply broader optimization or frame-rate parity across machines.

July 27, 2026 — Controller, sensitivity and hitbox fixes

The July 27 official posts add controller sensitivity options, PS button prompts, target-lock fixes when obstacles block boss fights, a DLSS plugin, and hitbox adjustments for the final boss and Red Ash. One of the posts also mentions a rare re-fight bug after the third boss.

July 25, 2026 — Boss balance and ending QTE note

The official post labels a Boss Balance Pass and an Ending QTE Bug Fix. It does not name the affected encounters, publish any values, or give a reproduction path, so this is a dated maintenance signal rather than a basis for boss-stat or ending-route guidance.

July 24, 2026 — Progression and controller patch

The official patch fixes an Akai fight loop that could prevent advancing to the next level, enables Controller Y-button keybinding, and fixes a rare issue that could send a player to the start after defeating KASEI the Tyrant. The announcement does not provide a full technical changelog or balance table.

July 23, 2026 — Launch patch note

The official patch note says the launch update fixed a key-binding bug where resetting binds, specifically the back triggers, would not work; lowered loud explosion audio; and made minor boss fight balance changes. This confirms a controls/audio/balance change, but it does not provide exact boss values or a full tuning table.

July 23, 2026 — Steam release

The official Steam store now lists Dinoblade as released. At the July 24 morning check, the page showed a 10% launch discount from $19.99 to $17.99 through July 30, 2026, Very Positive all reviews from 256 Steam purchasers, 29 achievements, full controller support and Boss Rush Mode after defeating the final boss. These are store facts, not proof of exact boss routes, builds, rewards or balance.

July 13, 2026 — Developer interview

A GamingBolt interview adds developer-sourced detail on Alpha boss rewards, four attributes, Soul Art tree structure, red-glint attacks, camera and lock-on fixes, optimization, and one relayed Steam Deck test. These statements are useful evidence but still require launch-build verification where behavior or exact values matter.

March 29, 2026 — Updated Demo to latest work

The official community hub says the Demo was updated to newer work with an optimization pass, blocking from any attack direction, a small environment update and target lock for mouse and keyboard.

December 3, 2025 — Full Controller Support

The official Steam News feed lists a Full Controller Support announcement. The full-release store now also carries the corresponding feature category.

November 2025 — UI and optimization passes

Official feed titles include UI fixes, a first mini-boss model update and an optimization pass. Older player reports should be dated because these passes may have changed their results.

Launch-day policy

  • Use the official title and date.
  • Do not invent a semantic version number.
  • Summarize only the explicitly stated change.
  • Update affected guide pages and their modified date.
  • Keep a short note when a Demo-era claim becomes obsolete.
